New theme for Guide for Bloggers

In Statuses on October 21, 2010 by Arno

One of the reasons I started this blog was because I like to try out new things when it comes to blogging and share my experiences.

Today, I have chosen an new theme for Guide for Bloggers. It is DePo Square, which was clearly inspired by Tumblr, in having different styles for different post categories. In this particular case; posts, quotes, statuses, links and photos.

As always, I love to hear your take on this theme. Also, if you think I should consider using another theme, let me know.

Guide for Bloggers is going for it!

In Statuses on October 5, 2010 by Arno

Well, I have taken some time to think about it, but Guide for Bloggers still sounds like a good idea.

So good in fact, that I have no doubt there are several other sites out there who do exactly the same.

I don’t mind. I still think I’m going to enjoy this blog and hope others will too. 🙂

And a big thank you to Sidthegnomenator from Thoughts from the Dustbin who wanted to talk about blogging and Sunny for thinking about migrating to WordPress; they unknowingly inspired this blog.

Working on it

In Statuses on October 1, 2010 by Arno

Hi! This blog is currently not much more than an idea. Work in progress.

I want to create a place where bloggers (veterans and newbies) can come together and learn from each other.

Because whether it is WordPress, Blogger, Live Journal, Posterous or any other blogging tool you are using, most of us have the same questions, run into the same problems and face the same choices.

And most of the time, we spent a lot of time coming up with the answers ourselves.

On this blog I want to channel all those individual efforts into a single source of information.

As I said, it is still very much work in progress, but I this could be really useful.

Ideally, it should be a joint effort with everyone contributing. So please, leave behind suggestions, questions and anything else you would like to share in the comments 🙂
